Win Big at the American E-Kart Championship
The world of go-kart racing has changed drastically over the years. While it once was limited to only gas karts, we now have access to high-energy electric go-karts that are faster, safer, and (let’s be honest) more fun to drive. People all over the U.S. are experiencing electric go-karts and falling in love with the thrill. Now, the American E-Kart Championship (AEKC) gives even more opportunities to experience the thrill of winning.
The American E-Kart Championship is a league like no other. We’re talking nationwide racing, big prizes, and the chance to compete against the top racers in the nation in Chicago.
Electric go-karters all over the U.S. are participating, including over 25 indoor electric karting facilities across the U.S. So that means no matter where you’re competing from, you have the opportunity to join us.
What’s the big deal? This will be a World Karting Association (WKA) sanctioned championship. WKA is the largest kart race sanctioning body in North American and a part of CIK, which is the karting commission of FIA ( the international governing body of Motor Sports worldwide). So yes, it’s a big deal. And you have a chance to be a part of the inaugural league.
Here’s everything you need to know about the American E-Kart Championship:
When: Most location's run AEKC qualifying events throughout the year. However, check with your local track for exact times and dates. The Grand Championship Race is held in August each year.
Local/Preliminary Round Prizes: Thought it varies by location, the local winners will receive cash prizes. Each local champion also received free hotel room and free meals for attending the Grand Championship weekend!
Final Round Prizes: Each track’s champion will be able to race for a chance to win big in at the Grand Championship in August! The first prize winner will receive $10,000, 2nd place will receive $2,500, and 3rd place will receive $1,000.
